Upon arriving in Canada and facing initial challenges in connecting due to the pandemic, I immersed myself in the development of my blockchain project, nd2, which I continue to work on. Simultaneously, in 2021, I embarked on a new venture. NewKeys Link is a platform where I leverage my skills in marketing, design, editing, and development to reach the Latin market and connect with local businesses interested in selling products to newcomers in Canada, such as vehicles. These endeavors have presented significant challenges that have pushed me to learn new technologies, and today, I can proudly say that I possess expertise in various solutions demanded by the market.
In 2006, I embarked on a new entrepreneurial journey, establishing Telsco S.A.S., a company dedicated to providing support, maintenance, and equipment installation and commissioning services. Swiftly gaining recognition, we became contractors for 'Nokia Siemens Networks,' serving major telecommunications operators in the region, including Telefónica, Millicom, Avantel, Comcel, and more. This growth led to a team of up to 50 employees. Our early recognition as a top contractor resulted in improved payment terms and higher ratings in contractor selection processes. Unfortunately, circumstances necessitated the cessation of operations in 2018. In pursuit of fresh opportunities and believing in the potential for growth, I made the significant decision to explore Canada.
From 2001 to 2005, I remained with Siemens through another resource management company. During this period, I was part of the TAC3 support group. Here, my responsibilities and challenges expanded, allowing me to engage with more companies in the telecommunications sector across the region. My separation from Siemens was prompted by my decision to launch my first major startup, which provided me with invaluable learning experiences, although it did not last and I continued to work in the same industry.
I worked at Siemens S.A. in Colombia from 1995 to 2000. I found immense satisfaction in solving highly complex technical problems, gaining recognition that later paved the way for my own business. Siemens provided continuous training, both in Colombia and Germany, where I later served as an instructor in Latin America, imparting my expertise to a diverse group of professionals. This period marked significant learning and growth, thanks to supportive colleagues who readily shared their knowledge.
